For more than a century, Pierhor-Gasser SA has been producing and supplying high-precision gemstones, using its ancestral know-how, which is constantly evolving and resolutely looking to the future, to serve our customers.

Training and developing a multicultural workforce has always been a major component of the company’s strategy and development, in order to meet the highest standards of our customers while ensuring the well-being of our teams.

The Swiss Triple Impact program

The Swiss Triple Impact is a unique nationwide program enabling Swiss companies to measure their commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted in 2015 by members of the United Nations, with the aim of achieving a more sustainable future by 2030. As participants in the STI program, we are committed to achieving four main goals.

Direct contribution to the SDGs

Type of commitment

By 2028, 50% of VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) and flammable solvents will be replaced by alternative products, compared with none by 2023*.

* Alternative products with reduced impact on the environment and users’ health, and free from SVHC (Substances of Very High Concern). We aim to replace 100% of VOC and flammable solvents by 2030. The annual volume of VOC solvents is 4 t in 2022.

Core business

By 2028, we will reduce the production of industrial waste and effluents by 50% in proportion to the total volume of production, compared with 2023*.

* In 2022, the volume will represent 9 t of ordinary industrial waste and 4 t of hazardous industrial waste.

Internal operations

By 2026, 80% of our main suppliers will meet our responsible purchasing criteria and sign our Supplier Code of Conduct, compared with none in 2023*.

* Main suppliers by volume of purchases, representing 80% of our total purchases.

Supply chain

By 2027, we will have reduced the risk of work-related accidents and illnesses identified as major* by 80%.

* Based on the first workplace risk analysis carried out at the end of 2023.
